Budweiser: Free Beer for Vaccine Card Holders - Oni - 04-18-2021

Minus a few states, those that are vaccinated can get some free beer. I'm sure some people will be double-dipping.

Quote:Budweiser is the latest brand to raise awareness for the COVID-19 vaccines by offering free beer to those who get vaccinated.

The Anheuser-Busch beer brand has brought back its popular Budweiser Clydesdales and a puppy for the commercial called "Reunited with Buds," which posted to YouTube Thursday and is scheduled to run on national television April 26, the company told USA TODAY.

Set to the tune of Queen’s hit “Don’t Stop Me Now,” the ad “celebrates our favorite bars as they start to reopen and reminds people to safely return to them once they have been vaccinated,” the company said.

To help encourage more to get vaccinated, there's also a contest with 10,000 free beers up for grabs.

Risky, but a good tactic. I know people are buying/avoiding it as a joke, given the circumstance. In terms of Spanish, Corona just means "crown".

I agree i’m sure the sales have gone down a lot since the pandemic. It would probably destroy them doing something like this Lol

I personally think it's super suspicious how hard the vaccine is being pushed to consumers, with how little testing has been done with it. I mean, hell, we are the testing.

That being the case, things like this are just trying to entice people to get it, and I don't personally think this is a good idea. I mean, let's say there's a new covid vaccine by some company that comes out that wasn't already. Companies and businesses are trying to incentivize people to get a covid vaccine. So then I go and get a vaccine, but it so happens to be this hypothetical new one. Now I have a third arm.

Of course I'm not saying specifically that the vaccine is or isn't bad. I'm saying that the incentivizing of getting it from corporate businesses is bad.

Marketing at its finest. I wouldn't get the shot for the doughnuts or beer, but it's been shown to increase survival odds so far.

Spoiler:

Some people would though. I have a lot of personal friends that are getting the vaccine purely on the fact that they get to do something or go somewhere.

If the end result is good for both businesses and the individual, I don't see the problem with vaccines being expedited.

There have been weird cases of organs failing (on mice as well), so that could always be you.

yikes. I'd like to not be the tester for the vaccine, or a possible symptom of it that isn't known yet. Not for a beer, especially.

Tbh its suspicious how companies are giving incentives for getting vaccinated. Shouldn't people trust the vaccine as something that will protect them from covid and get it regardless?
