I have seen bumping posts button in sellers section on many forums and it helps to keep posts up of online members.
Hope you guys like this and make it available.

It seems more a novelty. If people want to bump their threads it should be done organically. But maybe I'm too traditional.

Bumping hasn't been an Issue for over 8 years, so I personally can't justify Implementing a button.

Other than it being easier for the OP to press a button to bump their thread, what other benefits would it provide? Unless I'm misunderstanding what the bump button does?

In other forums a user can press bump button every 24 hours to make his posts bump up. So he don't have to post his request or product again and again. Bumping posts give more visibility to people who come online everyday.

While bumping posts doesn't harm anyone, it does flood the latest posts only with the marketplace bumps, which isn't great for true discussion or high quality activity. If you check our rules section, we actually have restrictions and recommendations over how much someone can bump their thread because it was happening too much. However, there are opportunities for advertising that can be discussed with Oni via PM.
If we were just a market site, I'd be all over this suggestion. As we are not solely a market, I can see this being frustrating for other members who want to see other content.

The official rule is only once every 2-3 days, as I understand sellers want buyers to know they're alive and ready to take orders. However, people should try to spice things up (rather than just write "bump!"). If someone is in the first 3 pages of the Buyer or Seller sections, you can assume they are taking orders. For those that are obsessed with being at the top, we offer stickies.

Although I am a seller too so I might personally benefit from this, I don't agree with this suggestion, because I think this would produce more useless posts over quality contents on the forum.
