Allow websites in signatures. - Skullmeat - 11-23-2012 I feel Anar needs to loosen up a bit with the "no websites in signatures" rule. While I admit making posts about your site is spam, having it in your sig is allowed just about everywhere. I politely ask that Anarchist reconsider this rule, which I personally feel is excessive paranoia. RE: Allow websites in signatures. - Dinosaws - 11-23-2012 I disagree - you'd get people coming just for the advertisement, making a few posts a day and hinting at their signature. Well I might be wrong but that's my opinion. RE: Allow websites in signatures. - Nefarious - 11-23-2012 It would only lead to spam, horrible idea. RE: Allow websites in signatures. - Skullmeat - 11-23-2012 No it wouldnt. As I said, not in posts, just in sigs. as text or images. ex: http://www.yourdomainhere.com I've seen plenty of sites that allow this, never seen any issues. RE: Allow websites in signatures. - Oni - 11-23-2012 The rule is there for a reason. It's not changing. Anarchy Forums is not the first forum to have this rule, as many other forums have it as well. It's to prevent advertising and unfortunately I can't make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. |
