Showoff Tutorial!

Showcasing, or showoff your art as the popular term for it is something most artists want to do and they should all do it correctly. I have seen too many artists make decent artwork and failed at showcasing it, putting not only themselves in a bad light, but also the art they have created. Showcasing your work is actually easy to do correctly and its something you should make second nature to your art progress. In this thread I will provide a template as well as some guidelines so that you can easily make your own threads that are informative and puts you and your art into a bright and good light! Shall we begin?

Thread Layout

The first thing you should worry about is the layout of your thread, this depends on what you like. But I would recommend you to place the art you want to showcase on the top. That way, the first thing the viewers will see is your work and they can easier focus on that for rating and such. After your showcase art, you should have the resources and/or proof that you made the art from resources and not a finished product like a template or resize picture. After this you can more or less have what every you want, though I would recommend a personal message from you. Maybe tell the viewer what inspired you to make this specific artwork, or tell them what its suppose to be if its a little hard to tell. Many of you might think that this isn't important to the viewer, but it normally is and I would recommend you to always have it in your threads.

The more detailed your thread is, the easier it is to rate it!

Resource & Proof?

If you are unaware what I mean by this, then I will explain it! Its really simple, resource(s) are other pictures, fractals etc. you used to create the said art. If you used any, like a stock or a render then you should always link to that resource so that the viewer can see what you have actually done and what actually was on the resource to start with. What I mean with proof is that you can and I would recommend this to new artists on the forum to post a screencap of the layers in Photoshop for example, or upload the PSD and post the link with your work. The reason for this is so that people don't miss judge you and say you stole the art from someone else.

The more you provide, the more we can rate!

Template

Code:
[center][img]*Showcase Art Link*[/img][/center] Resource URLs/Proof: Link 1 Link 2 Link 3 [b]Personal Message[/b] The usual. Why you made it?(:
