Runescape has been purchased again, this time by Carlyle Group. It's an interesting choice for them, given they have also invested in other defense and R&D projects in the past.

This time it's US private equity giant Carlyle Group that's snapped up a majority stake in the Cambridge games studio.
The Carlyle Group did not disclose the terms of the transaction, but The Daily Telegraph reported the value of the deal is expected to be more than the $530m (£390m) paid for Jagex when it was acquired from its previous Chinese owners by a US holding company in 2020.

Very interested in how they are going to influence the company, I mean if they can give some more assets to the Jagex team that'd be amazing, with those Chinese it went straight into the ground but with this investment company it's high hopes.
