obligatory introduction post - synec0ha - 01-23-2021

Hello all. Im synec0ha, and Im a loser on the internet. I study computer science at a shitty university, and Im thinking of going into computer forensics. Id love to get paid to wear the white hat someday, but for now I figured that I should look for lessons wherever I can find them. Who knows, maybe this whole ethical thing wont work out in the end.  I am young, and the internet is forever.

Looking forward to being here. Hope I learn lots.

Too much of an emphasis is placed on ethics/morals. Learn where you can and live life by your rules.

This is my 3rd year of a 4 year degree. Not sure what I'm going to do after this, though. Id love to keep learning but I'm not sure a university can teach me what I want.

Excellent advice.  I'd just written a paper to do with ethics so I think I have the topic on my brain right now.

It's great to read that you're well on the way to finalizing your degree.

Due to the era of my schooling, opportunities In the sector I was (and still am) Interested In, namely computing, were few and far between. As such, I prematurely dropped out of school and don't have any certifications to my name. Nonetheless, being self-taught Is certainly rewarding.

I wish you all the very best In your future endeavors.

You've basically answered your own concern:

It's just a matter of Identifying the capacity that fulfills your needs and wants.
