Examples of Social Engineering in Movies - green314 - 01-09-2021
I have come across to this movie recently during the Christmas period, I think all of you know it, "Home alone 1".
At the beginning of the movie there is this funny/interesting scene, where the thief pretend to be a policeman to gain access to the house with the purpose of watch it by more closely and asking questions about the security system and so on, which come to think of it, it's basically Social Engineering.
What do you think? Do you know other examples of SE that you've seen in movies?

I've watched a lot of films where SEing is included in films, but it's often not directly called that in the movie/show. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is one from Sherlock Holmes (the TV show with Cumberbatch)

This Is a pretty good movie, most of It Involves SEing.
There's one particular scene that's my favorite. Fast forward to "31:25" for a few minutes or so.

Not a movie but there is a show on netflix Called Money Heist it is about a group of People take over the Royal Mint in Spain and print 1 Billion Euros. One person operating on the outside named "The Professor". He whales the inspector for the case.
