Lost my job and now I'm poor and loving it - runrowntown - 12-18-2020

Well maybe not loving it but for the first time in my life I'm out of the rat race. I'm going to get an easy job working from home for 10 bucks an hour and chill. I used to make 70k as a bartender but was so miserable I spent it all on drugs, drinking and other nonsense so what was it for? The crazy Covid times have been kind of cathartic for me.

I fully understand where you're coming from.

Work-wise financially, I was In a similar position and Irrespective of the excellent pay, I was literally forcing myself to attend work and felt terrible each and every weekday. Happiness Isn't about how much you have, but rather how much you enjoy It.

The best decision you've made.

It's all nice to have some time off to focus on what really matters. Maybe you discover a hobby, that you can turn into a (better) living.

Covid is such a mindf***K

lost my job, then stopped talking to a lot of people because I realized they weren't really my good friends, realized the important people truly there for me during tough times, looked for work for 3 to 4 months, depressed, in bed, and my cat and my friend's little brother are the only things that make me happy.

Been there, done that.

Rest assured, the clouds will pass and the sun will shine. We all create our own experiences- remove all forms of negativity and stay positive.

I can certainly relate to what you're saying.

I had a well-paid job that affected my health through anxiety & stress, and resigning was the best choice I made. I now think, eat and sleep significantly better. Money Isn't everything and If It causes a negative Impact on your well-being, I'd rather have only enough to make ends meet.

As long as there's an Internet connection, hackers will always be active, Irrespective of any obstacles that may come their way.
