Can you help me with choosing the DVD ripping software to convert DVD files to AVI?  I have already read about different tools but it is hard for me to choose the best one.

Moved from The Lounge forum to Software & Programs.

That aside, I've used WinAVI many years ago and It did the job well. It's not free, but there's quite a few online sources that have cracks etc.

i would personally recommend FormatFactory, however the application tries to install bloatwares so thats not the best :/, ive actually attempted to fully patch / debloat formatfactory even before i joined sinister.ly, but ive learned a fuck ton now so ill probably give it a shot again just after im done writing this post lol

there might also be converters online tbh

Yes, unfortunately there are no options to deselect the bloatware during the Installation process.

Personally, I wouldn't Install It on my physical machine. That aside, It's certainly an excellent piece of software.

That's strange.

The last time I Installed It, was around 5 years ago and given their license hasn't changed, I assume It should still be the same.

oh, some thing changed, but the layout is the same from earlier versions.

my dad used to use this app back in 2012 and the layout is basically the same, they've (i think) removed the metal skin & added a few more filetypes it can convert. i think theres still that sound effect from when it finished converting lol
