Make Your Vote Count - Oni - 10-27-2020

Make sure to vote if you're eligible to. Even if you decide to write-in Fred Flinstone and Barney Gumble, that still says something.

The registration date has passed in most states, but there's information here:

I'd vote for Deez Nuts, but he's not old enough to be president and I can't vote.

Genuine question: Is it possible for neither democrat/republican to win an overall majority?

For example, what happened to the British government the last time Theresa May called a general election. It was almost like a vote of no confidence.

It's possible to write anyone's name down. It's also possible to vote for independent candidates. This may differ state-to-state.

This is pertaining to the election in the United States. Donald Trump ®, Joe Biden (D).

If you're directly asking who we're voting for, that's private, and some people might not be comfortable telling you who they've voted for.

Sure, but I guess what I'm asking is, does a party have to reach a certain number of electoral colleges to win?

For example, our conservative party once had the most votes, but it wasn't enough seats in parliament for them to actually win. A party needs enough seats to claim a win, not just be voted for more than another party.

Is there any equivalent of this in the US? Or is it simply, whoever has the most, wins? Even if votes are so dispersed among independents that the largest majority is a win of 20% of the total overall votes.

I hope that makes sense?

Tl;dr - Is it possible for the US to have the equivalent of a "hung parliament"?

You don't vote your president in office. No american vote does... The CIA auctions your president into office. and it has been that way since the creation of the CIA itself. Why should you vote for a rapist or a murderer? the lesser of two evils? the same sides of the same coin? you think there is a difference in voting for trump or biden? lol ...

I voted for pedro as I always do. Pedro is more real than the fake lives on tv... all working for the CIA. fucking christ. I though you hackers would have hacked to learn about the truth but silly me,. where hte fukc have I been all my life?

😂 Honestly I’ve been discouraged on voting for the past few years because of the choices we had in the selective candidates.

Mitt Romney was a nope so Barack was Picked. Bernie Sanders was a nope too. Hillary Clinton, yeah, nope. 😂 Most people didn’t want her just cause they were sexist but it’s how it is sometimes, and now we got angry orange faking tasks at the white house. 🤷‍♂️ Might win still because no one wants a senile man go become president and for sure they dont want a black female Vice President because ‘Murica. 👀

Lmfao. Assumes everyone on this site is a hacker.. then also assumes all these people on TV work for the CIA...

I wish people would spend more time investigating real sources to understand the world, and not swallow up crap on the internet.

Was it really sexism that stopped her winning? I feel like given 50% of voters are female.. that's a stretch to pin it down on sexism xD Especially in this day and age. Arguably, I come from a very biased viewpoint, being from a nation that had a female in power before I was even born! lol.

I honestly believe if Michelle Obama ran.. she'd have more success than Hilary. Let's face it, much of this is a popularity contest. And when it's not, it's because people want to protect their rights/choices. For example, people who don't like Trump, may still vote for him to protect their guns. People who don't like Biden, may vote for him because they want to protect their rights for abortion choices.

Your reason for not voting is exactly why I asked if it's possible for the US to have an equivalent of a hung parliament. I assume the answer is no...
