I'm new here obviously, just wanted to briefly introduce myself, my name is Cillian (pronounced as "Kylian" like Kylian Mbappe) I'm 18, going into my second year of computer science, love rugby and gaming and I'm irish so I'm your typical alcoholic.

Honestly man I just heard of the site through word of mouth at college, said I'd join to see what it's about. Haven't used much forums if I'm being honest, the only site I've ever bothered with is Reddit.

Thanks again for the welcome man, we did a couple modules in first year, I really liked the software development side of it even though we haven't covered a lot of it in serious depth yet as the first year is there normally just to find out really who's "capable" to finish the course. We covered Operating systems aswell which was interesting as we did a bit about the history of them too. I absolutely hate Databases, partially due to our lecturer being so condescending to so many students and well, because its databases.

Thanks again for the welcome again my man, as I said to Miso, I liked the software development and OS side, and typing this I realised I liked the hardware side too, there's a lot I like about it and looking forward to seeing what second year teaches me.

tbh i've learnt most of my ICT skills myself, ICT class helps me a bit with python, thats basically it lol

I'd be the same as yourself man, college has helped me a lot more with understanding the logic of computing more than anything.
