Hide [code] tags from unregistered people. - OversouL - 06-19-2020 I just noticed that we don't hide code from unregistered members. Can we hide them, so they actually register to see the code and probably reply if they have any questions or suggestions once they see it. I think it's only beneficial to SL. EDIT: updated title to prevent confusion from [hide] tags. Code: This should not be seen by outsiders.RE: Hide code tags from unregistered people. - Johnngnky - 06-19-2020 (06-19-2020, 02:00 AM)OversouL Wrote: I just noticed that we don't hide code from unregistered members. I don't agree on how said site (and many others) try to boost their post and user count by forcing people to sign up, post and/or pay. RE: Hide code tags from unregistered people. - mothered - 06-19-2020 I agree with @Johnngnky above. Whilst In this case, the hide tags help prevent leechers to a certain degree, It'll force user-registrations which Is not what we'd like to see. This board Is for those who "want to" (and not "have to") be a part of our community. Once you register you'd be able to see the code immediately. In terms of not being viewable as a guest, It will still serve the same purpose as the hide tags, so my view remains firm. Though, I would like to read what the rest of the community has to say. Correct me if I'm wrong, but surely this will make no difference except invite a lot of new joiners who will abandon their account after seeing the content? Quote:It'll force user-registrations It's not possible to speak for every registered user, but In my view, If they're solely signing up to view the content, then most likely that's the purpose of their registration. No doubt many will navigate around this board and become active users, but for the most part, I think their stay will be short-lived.
