VPN Comparison - 360929396329953295 - 04-16-2020

I use IVPN.net for maximum security. It has a small-medium user base, and the technical support live chat agents are always able to correctly answer all questions I have with a high level of technical accuracy.

Now, I decided to buy a subscription to NordVPN to compare it.

In my eyes, NordVPN a data-mining honeypot, with 14 million users, its probably backed by the CIA or something.

(similar to Facebook)

Anyway, I would be amazing if NordVPN was legit, because they have some much advertising, 14 million users has to attract Feds, or the service is ran by feds.

So NordVPN has been fine, some of the USA servers dont work, while IVPN all servers work.

But offshore servers all work for me, Albania, Iceland all work perfectly.

So honestly, I think IVPN is the best VPN by far, IVPN has custom multi-hop servers (you choose each server for multi hop), IVPN is cheaper, and is smaller user base.

I highly reccomend IVPN.net for VPN usage =)

RE: VPN Comparison - Drako - 04-16-2020

I currently use Tunnelbear. Their privacy policy is legit, and they don't keep logs. Speeds are always consistent on all servers I've ran. And they don't have a track record like Nord. I'm not entirely sure about CIA/NSA involvement with Tunnelbear though. I'm sure it's possible with NordVPN.

I haven't seen IVPN before. I'll try the free trial and see how it goes.

Moved from The Lounge forum to Anonymity.

Firstly, I don't trust "any VPN service", Irrespective of their (so-called) no log policies.
I have quite a number of systems, of which I use NordVPN, ZenMate, ExpressVPN, IPVanish and Windscribe. All serve their purpose extremely well. I'd say IPVanish & Nord are the most stable. Windscribe Is not too far behind.

Tunnelbear is a 5 eyes company therefore they basically silently log or can be silently compelled to start logging.

If you want privacy I reccomend IVPN the most, then Mullvad.

NordVPN is almost certainly:

Datamining
A FED Botnet

due to its huge size.

ExpressVPN uses virtual servers, so if you connect to a server that says its in Albania, it could be located in the UK.

IPVanish keeps logs

ZenMate has 45+ Millon users, almost certainly a botnet.
Based in Germany, a 14 eyes country.

I reccomend IVPN for privacy.

The number of users, Is not a conclusive Indicator of a botnet.

In fact, It's all the more reason to use a VPN with users of that magnitude- being part of the "majority" Is obviously what you're after.

With users on a scale of 45 million, the 14 eyes country Is no longer part of the equation.

Good luck to anyone attempting to locate & Identify 1 In 45+ million.

Always take (no) log policies with a grain of salt. Do not believe what you read, nor the reviews/feedback of online sources.

Speaking for everyone, you never know what happens behind closed doors and unfortunately, you never will.

It's probably a good idea to just buy a VPS. A good VPS will set you back around $15 a month. It's worth it if you find a good host. Easy to setup, and you know what's going on behind the scenes.

Yes, VPS 'front gun' servers are often used to launch exploits.

1. Pay for offshore VPS using anonymous BTC and fake registration details.
2. Load VPN onto VPS to further make exploit origin harder to trace, the launch exploit, and remotely reformat server. =)

I find that bulletproof VPS's are a lot more expensive than "regular" VPSs'. I guess as long as your aren't buying a VPS for exploits or botnets a non-bulletproof VPS should do just fine.

RE: VPN Comparison - Crimin4L - 04-18-2020

I wouldn't use NordVPN. I seen a post somewhere a while back explaining how they were owned/partnered with a data mining company called "Tesonet". I did some googling and found this article: http://vpnscam.com/is-nordvpn-a-honeypot/
Goes way more in depth then the little article I saw

I would use ProtonVPN, I've never heard anything bad about them and I use all their services because they highly value privacy (or so any company says haha). But yea proton is my main until I hear something about them which I haven't so far Tongue

Sound advice.

Over the years, I've actually come across providers that accept cash as a form of payment. Though, It can be risky- as you have no proof of payment.
