Introduction of myself to the Freaking Awesome Brothers and Sisters of Sinisterly! - LawDogUSA - 04-10-2020
Well it's about time I properly introduce myself to everyone. It's only been a year of hanging around here, reading and hanging in the background. Snuck in a few posts and asked many questions!
Here is a little about myself and my life:
American born and raised. Grew up on the mean streets of Chicago Illinois. I jumped into a life of protecting what I thought was right, or at least higher ups thought so, and jumped over the pond to fight with guns and smarts (or vice versa). In various places in the Middle East and the Israeli region.
After those conquests, I came back home and devoted my life to keeping the bad guys away from the innocent and off the streets. When I say bad guys, I mean the true bad guys....the ones who prey on people, especially kids, and destroy lives. I wasn't interested in the other things. With most others, I believe in speaking with people, making them aware, and giving them chances. I did that and did it well for a few decades.
I walked away on my own 2 feet and my own power. That's not to say I wasn't battered and bruised. During my career I had a few injuries, and a few surgeries. I didn't want to walk around with a smashed face, holes in my body from these flying pieces of hot lead, or this crazy knee of mine which likes to easily let my knee cap pop off. Concussions hopefully make me smarter.
Received a few awards and medals for all those "good" actions. In that time I also grew a family of my own. I'm thankful today I'm still here on Earth, at least most days. But it always seems that those who try to do what's right and good, most of the time, get screwed a few times here and there. Hopefully those can be learning experiences. I had a bad things pop up, and you will probably see some posts or recieve a question.
So why am I here. Well, I have always used and like computers. If anyone knows old school computers, like the commodore (I'm old, I know). I had 2 different ones, and actually just got rid of them just a few years ago. No, I wasn't still using them. I was lucky to be able to jump into "tough books" and a few others during my career. Not the best, but I modified, and did just about everything "unethical" you could do with them. There was always a guy who sold my units/companies/departments these computers. I would track him down and convert him to the dark side, or was it the other way around. It was fun, good times!
Ok, so now I'm way out of the loop and somewhat retired. I decided about a couple years ago, to dive back into all this stuff, some for fun and a lot for need. I was hoping to develop some skills and help people (myself), think like what a private investigator might do and need. I was very overwhelmed. Can't just take a class or ask questions to the average computer owner. And those that know about computers, look at you like you are nuts or it's like asking to bone their ladies.
Searching, reading, etc doesn't go to far a lot of the time. I lost track of how many days I spent reading/studying stuff, only to find out, it isn't legit, doesn't work, or you need 15 other things to know or do before that. On the bright side, there were a few things I really needed to accomplish and I did. (In my mind I hear clapping,lol)
Ok, in all seriousness, I don't remember how I found my way here, but I did. And I have been very fortunate I did. For those who read this far, let me say this place is outstanding; The people are outsanding, the information is outstanding, the format is outstanding.
I have seen and met a lot of skilled and capable heros. Been in a few, remarkable places. But this place, and I truly mean this, is just unreal. It's full of some of the most intelligent, skilled people I have ever seen or heard of.
The format and information is remarkable and unmatched. I have called the great people here Modern Day Superheros. It's true, they have such great minds and skills, it doesn't even register in my mind. A few have helped me immensely. When I asked for help, someone was always there. I have always been pointed in the right direction and given the correct info. One new on here might not hear the answer they want, but it's still the correct one, and most likely you would be showed how to get the right one.
Guys/Gals, I'm just so impressed, my hats off and a massive bow to all of you. Just incredible to me. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for all your knowledge and skills, your endlessly dedicated hard work. For watching out and helping all of us, me included, who don't know much and are just starting.
I can honestly say, out of all the great units, and things I have been a part of, this place here, Sinisterly, is top notch and in most aspects, is the best. I truly mean that. Such a fantastic job by all of you who make up this place. Can't wait to learn and grow.
To let everyone know, I'm the type of person who will give you the shirt off my back and my shoes. If you ever need anything from me please ask. If you need my support, help, guidance, someone to talk to, anything....ask! Some may not like my background, I'm not going to lie about it. I'm out of my league here too. I know my role and place. I'm smart enough to know not to mess with anyone here, and to lie and bullshit. Listen, I'm loyal in life. I'm loyal to Sinisterly and the peeps. You all have my respect. I thank you all for letting me be here!
