Malware Encoded in a Strand of DNA - Oni - 02-25-2020 Make my buffer overflow! Create a backdoor in me! Escalate your user privileges! Find flaws in my securityyyyy!! Spoiler:![]() Quote:When biologists synthesize DNA, they take pains not to create or spread a dangerous stretch of genetic code that could be used to create a toxin or, worse, an infectious disease. But one group of biohackers has demonstrated how DNA can carry a less expected threat—one designed to infect not humans nor animals but computers. XD RE: Malware Encoded in a Strand of DNA - OversouL - 02-27-2020 This is some sci-fi shit! To be fair though, I think any computer system is prone to hacking when it accepts any data input. In this case, the data input is DNA. RE: Malware Encoded in a Strand of DNA - Hysho - 02-27-2020 Dorothy Haze Reference! I like that But using DNA to hack computers just put us one step closer to a Cyberpunk Future that I hope happens eventually in my life time RE: Malware Encoded in a Strand of DNA - Drako - 02-28-2020 "The future is now old man" RE: Malware Encoded in a Strand of DNA - mothered - 02-28-2020 Too many variables. I'd believe It when I see It. RE: Malware Encoded in a Strand of DNA - sybylroot - 02-28-2020 Related to the article...what's the point of creating an 'DNA' payload when it's even more easy just deploying it on a currently existing software? what kind of people write this news, monkeys? If that can be possible (i doubt so) , just think, if it's a nightmare coding something at the normal way (unleast you make a framework to build every payload on top of it like a decent viral engine) imagine trying to encode a 'DNA' chain for a payload, it not only a lot of work (if that technology can 'exist'), it's absurd and profitless...thanks for sharing Oni. how people can eat & believe this kind of articles? |
