Weathering With You - Trailer - Jiggly - 11-16-2019

I think this film will appeal to folks who enjoyed Kimi no Na wa (Your Name), as it seems to have a similar emotional, tear-jerking feel to it. Again, some stunning looking art too.
Looks like it's due to be released in the states mid-January.

Check out the trailer:

Plot summary from MAL:
Code:
High school freshman Hodaka Morishima leaves his home on an isolated island and moves to Tokyo, but he immediately becomes broke. He lives his days in isolation, but finally finds a job as a writer for a shady occult magazine. After he starts his job, the weather has been rainy day after day. Then one day in a alley of the crowded and busy city, Hodaka meets a young girl named Hina Amano. Due to certain circumstances, Hina and her younger brother live together, but have a cheerful and sturdy life. This bright and strongwilled girl possesses a strange and wonderful ability: the power to stop the rain and clear the sky.

Same director. If you haven't seen it, you need to see it. I saw it in the cinemas and it was excellent. Not quite as good as Kimi No No Wa was, but every bit as beautiful and emotional. Radwimps did the title music for this one too (the same group that did the incredible music for Kimi No Na Wa).

Honestly, just like... Go watch this director's entire filmography.

That's awesome! I had wondered if it was the same director, but didn't check. It's definitely something I'm interested in seeing.
