Forum Mafia - Andrew_DZ - 04-02-2013
Okay, this game will look REALLY confusing after reading this post, but is super easy once you start playing.
There are 10 players (more if there is the demand). 3 of those 10 will be the mafia. The other 7 are town members. If you're mafia, then the aim of the game is to kill the townies, and if you're a townie then the aim is yup, you guessed it to kill the mafia.
I will PM you your role, and no one, APART from you and me will know what it is. You can post your role in the thread but this may not help you, as there will never be any proof. You cannot screenshot in the thread, and if you are a townie you CANNOT pm any other members about the game.
You may be wondering how this whole killing business is done. Every day, at a certain time, probably 11pm (GMT+1). All members in this thread must vote for who they want to be killed, you can vote from 11am to 11pm that day, this is called the day phase. At 11pm I will announce who has died and how it happened and tell you all their role.
With me so far? If not then don't worry, just keep reading.
Between 11pm and 11am. The Mafia members decide separately VIA PM who they want to vote kill, they then send their decision to me via PM, once this is done I will announce their kill and what role they were. This is called the night's phase.
We need 10 people to make it worth playing, if I don't get 10 I'm not too bothered, it's just an idea really. If we get 10 then I will answer ANY questions you have about the rules. This post really is just the basics, it is bit more detailed.

Yeah the timezones could be rough. When I played it, it was on an AU based forum so the timezones weren't an issue.

I see. Maybe if there's like a 24 hour period instead of a 1 hour period. I don't know what would work best.

MxRE, if you have played it before I wouldn't mind a hand with set the game up, what abilities people get ect.

I don't remember it too well, I just understand the game slightly. It was well over 2 years ago lol.

Oh fair enough.
And I was thinking a 24 hour period for the town, then 24 hours for the mafia, that would make things easier.
