Where did you guys start to learn programming from and why did you start doing it?

I started doing it because when i am in college i am going to become a Computer Programmer Smile

I learned the basics of programming in high school and in my own research online. A really awesome YouTube channel full of awesome programming guides is http://youtube.com/TheNewBoston - give that a shot if you're after some top notch tutorials!

I'm currently doing programming work at university and as a personal hobby. I want to do software development later on in life.

TheNewBoston Tutorials is where i learned my Java stuff.

I know right, he's got a huge capacity for information. I think he has a lot of programming books which he refers to throughout his tutorials, though.

This is where I started as well with Boston, he doesn't teach everything. But he is an awesome base to start with.
