can you actually hack someone's ip while he's using a VPN - sucCc - 07-04-2019 i have questioned this my self so many times, because i always use VPN but today inn the morning, my facebook page which i almost never use, posted some diet videos with fat ladies. lmfao and i don't even know how the person got into my account. RE: can you actually hack someone's ip while he's using a VPN - Tracefl0w - 07-05-2019 Are you sure that a person got into your account? It could also be facebook apps that you've authorized a long time ago which might have been legitimate at time, but are now malicious. What other activity have you noticed that's consistent with a compromised account? Check your email and see if you've got any emails from Facebook about unusual login attempts and etc. RE: can you actually hack someone's ip while he's using a VPN - sucCc - 07-05-2019 didn't get any emails but i changed the password and i got 3 other ip's with the same location that were connected to my facebook account.. RE: can you actually hack someone's ip while he's using a VPN - Magnetron - 07-05-2019 Yes, you can get someone's real IP if they're behind a proxy. Javascript can be used to demask you. If you browsed a webpage with a malicious script in it, it can query your real info. No real defense against this other than blocking javascript entirely which will render a lot of websites useless. RE: can you actually hack someone's ip while he's using a VPN - Drako - 07-05-2019 As Magnetron said above, Javascript can giveaway a lot about you. Just search for plugins that work on your browser to prevent Javascript from running on the page. You should also disable WebRTC, which you can also find as a plugin. But I'm sure there are other ways to be a privacy freak that I'm not aware of too. RE: can you actually hack someone's ip while he's using a VPN - AYMG - 07-09-2019 Just be careful and don't enter every site, 18+ ones can be horrific RE: can you actually hack someone's ip while he's using a VPN - Kludge - 07-11-2019 NoScript and Adblock Plus make naughty JS source go bye bye! 😀 Then don't let your browser authorize cookies from sites you've never actually visited. Then, in FireFox, open about:config and search for 'peer' and toggle 'peer sharing enabled' to not leak local network packets giving websites info on your LAN. Just harden your installs, guys. JS ain't no thang but a chicken wang... That went wrong. Search your settings! You know that which I spake ist true |
