What's your network setup like? - Nyx - 05-27-2019

So I've been increasingly getting interested in networking. Right now I have a my main home network that my family uses throughout the whole house, however in my basement I have a router so I can run my own personal network and it's connected to a 10 port switch to give me some more wiggle room with the amount of wired devices I can have. I'm half interested in finding a cheap server to run some things on but I'm not totally sure what my uses for it would be. So, to anyone here who has their own personal decked out network, what do you have that I'm missing that you would recommend? And also what are some potential uses for a server? Other than wanting to run a dedicated Plex media server I'm not sure what else I could do with it that would be useful.

I need to cable manage it, but haven't due to the downtime that would require, but here's my setup.

I remember him back in 2011 on HF. He's my favorite user on any forum and I was pretty stoked when I saw him again last year. @mothered helped me many times back in my High school years. He's an all round top bloke.

Wow I really like this setup. This is the kind of setup I had in mind. If you don't mind me asking, what do you run/store on your server? (other than your obligatory 10tb porn collection lol)
