The grammar in the article is kinda out their sometimes but nonetheless, the idea Trump has proposed isn't all that bad. In the study shown near the bottom of the article, the countries they based their statistics off of are doing quite well in their immigration efforts. And in my own opinion, skilled peoples and families should come first. Just a side thing, my belief on the border wall is that it can be done, if it's done right.

I believe this is something that has been long-awaited in the US. I'm also pretty astonished the US didn't follow the model of countries like Australia years ago. This kind of policy can support high-skilled researchers, and experts in various fields, in coming to the US and contributing to R&D and STEM fields that are so treasured there. I also believe the diversity argument is a little silly. Affirmative action doesn't belong in immigration policy.

Well actually, the opposite could be said. If there's more capable people in America, that means there is a possibility of new businesses, creating more jobs. People always immigrate here because it's the so called "Land of Opportunity" after all.

I think some people may forget there may be an agenda by other countries to use the holes in the Merikan boarder to contruct more complex attacks---they did just finish a 15 year war,...that makes a lot of enamies

This is such a funny view to read as a foreigner. For those that aren't aware, US companies are not able to hire a foreigner for the role unless they can justify why a US citizen is unable to fit the role. This is mostly for athletes, scientists and experts who are the top of their fields. Read up on the term "Alien with extraordinary ability".

It's an interesting concept and emphasizes how this isn't going to impact middle management and the jobs that most Americans will go for in their lifetimes. It's mainly aimed at ensuring the US can make use of the top minds and experts in respective fields. It supports the US's global competitiveness.
