What's your type speed? - Biglad465 - 04-24-2019 Mines 93 WPM (just checked now). I've always considered myself fairly quick at typing but want to see how I compare to other sinister users. Sidenote : I actually don't have a W key on my laptop keyboard so I have to just push in the little metal plate (even the sticky thing has gone , probably a better word for that but yk). RE: What's your type speed? - mothered - 04-25-2019 It depends on the day, my mood and the amount of sleep I've had. On average, between 80-90 WPM. You can see my time-frame from one post to another on this board. RE: What's your type speed? - Trilly Reign - 04-25-2019 Topped at 183, but I'm usually about 150-160. Never taken a typing class, besides the BS one they give you in 3rd grade (US). I blame it on video games and my mental state. Videos games significantly show signs in multiple studies that it increases your hand eye coordination. The same coordination you use for typing. I started playing games at a very young age. I'm also a psychopath. Not those corny serial killers you see in movies, or extreme cases like Ted Bundy. Most psychopaths are just much more independent, able to focus immensely on whatever their working on, have a "niche" for manipulating people, and have an above average ego. Most of the time you can't even tell the difference between us and other people, unless you know what to specifically look for. Overall practice always does the best. I remember being x2 as fast as anyone in my primary school due to religiously playing minecraft. RE: What's your type speed? - Jiggly - 04-26-2019 I have to say, my type speed has gone downhill over time. I used to type a lot when doing essays for college, but since that's stopped, and I started playing games more - my speed went out the window. It's sitting around 60-70 wpm. I suspect the impact of games on typing speed may depend upon the type of games. Hmm I suppose you're right , honestly having a fast type speed makes essays a breeze for me RE: What's your type speed? - Jiggly - 04-26-2019 (04-26-2019, 07:30 AM)Biglad465 Wrote:(04-26-2019, 01:02 AM)Jiggly Wrote: I have to say, my type speed has gone downhill over time. I don't think my typing speed made them any easier, since the hard part wasn't the typing itself. High school essays were easy, but a 40 page dissertation is another story. Months of work needed before I typed the first word of the official paper xD RE: What's your type speed? - Biglad465 - 04-26-2019 (04-26-2019, 03:03 PM)Jiggly Wrote:(04-26-2019, 07:30 AM)Biglad465 Wrote:(04-26-2019, 01:02 AM)Jiggly Wrote: I have to say, my type speed has gone downhill over time. Ah fair enough , mine only tend to be -3 pages long max... Those aren't too bad. I've been doing academic-style writing for a several years. Finished up my masters and poof, there goes the typing habits. RE: What's your type speed? - Drako - 04-26-2019 I type around 80-90 WPM. I used to practice just about everyday but I just stopped doing so. I also have never taken any typing classes before. I never really saw the need since I was such a quick learner. |
