3D Text in Cinema 4D - Dinosaws - 11-05-2012

Basic tutorial again - quick one as well

Firstly open up Cinema 4D

Go to MoGraph near the top and down to MoText

Once done it will appear as an angle, use the tools highlighted to get a nice angle

Then make sure you've clicked on the text object and go down to 'object', enter in some text and then change the font.

This is what your text should look like now.

Add some depth to it - I usually use 80.

I've probably explained it far worse than it actually is - It can get even easier than this.

Vouch for this!

I've been using C4D for a few years now and this is the best way to get 3D text Biggrin

Awesome tutorial. I managed to cook this up with a bit of experimentation:

I do have a question though. How do you export it in image format to use in Photoshop, since Cinema 4D is used primarily for 3D?

This is simple, all you have to do is render the file out with decent render settings and you'll render it as a PNG.

I can't make a tutorial around that just yet, maybe later on but all you have to do is find some decent render settings and you're good to go.

Go for it! You'll get used to using the program after a few attempts and you can move onto even more advanced things such as using specific angles towards the lighting to give better focal effect.

Oh yeah, I managed to figure it out. This program is awesome for making 3D objects.
