qwyz94 Scam Report - Biglad465 - 04-14-2019

Recently got scammed by this guy . Only £7.50 but I feel as though I should make the report nonetheless. Completely my fault as I decided not to use a middleman and this is mainly to notify other members.

The plan was for me to buy £150 worth of Bitcoin off of him . The plan is outlined below :

I sent over the first paypal installment . Because this is my first time using paypall , he managed to talk me into sending it as a friend and family payment (makes me realise how stupid I really am )

My bitcoin wallet is still empty and I have recieved no furthur communication from the seller , hence leading me to believe I was scammed.

Thank you for sharing that darkninja.

Biglad - Since you made this report more as a warning to other members, I'll spare you the spiel about how staff are unable to take action against users for scam reports when scams occur off-site. Thank you for sharing your experience. Let this be a warning to anyone doing deals in future.

I did indeed , he proved to me he was a trusted seller on another site and that convinced me not to use a middleman.

Only £7.50 so it's not a major issue . Also can I still do a chargeback if it was a friend's and family transaction?

RE: qwyz94 Scam Report - darkninja1980 - 04-20-2019

after you make a dispute right. Say that you did not get your item. also for in order for that dispute do not work right if he put a tracking number on the package.

With your bank? Sure, probably not worth your time setting it up though unless you can do it online quickly. You can give PP a call and explain the situation, they sometimes open a case on your behalf that's not unauthorized usage so it's a legit claim based on the truth. Idk how much it'll be of help once they realize it is an online only related transaction (not physically shipping anything).

valid point but saying to PayPal unauthorized usage his account might get block. Because it might be better saying that he did not receive the item. because the guy had to show it been shipped.
