Does anyone else just like reading random peoples emails? - williamcostigan - 03-04-2019

I just think its really fun to just look through people lives. I have read the funniest shit. I just wondered if that made me weird....

Ah, me too. I just like to be like Google and know a little too much of someone's information. I like knowing account names , passwords, typing habits and word choices and etc. also ssn, cc info if possible. Biggrin

Guess I bugged at birth and didn't end up as some tumortrackerbotnet from google but as a human instead.

It depends who the emails belong to.

Some are quite entertaining.

nah I love it too. Ages ago (like early 2000s) I got into a inter-library email system and the librarians/staff were just using it to email each other about their everyday lives in some small town in the USA. Because it was early on (and I guess they were old) they were writing like proper letters to each other. It was like watching a weird tv show.

I've never actually thought about doing that. I have a private combolist I can look through right now. I'm gonna go and do that.

Nah, I find most people way too boring to care about, especially their personal lives. I didn't even like reading the personal letters of famous historical figures like Lenin. Literally the most interesting thing in all his letters was when he wrote about planning to sue a guy who ran him over while he was biking. Why would I care about how Tommy loves his mama, dada and sister so much and how he finds the weather so windy in New York?

Phrase it like that and it does make it seem pretty boring! It's interesting in some aspects, though.

I know what you mean, but seeing what other people say when they don't know they're being watched can be really interesting just because you never see that from any other perspective other than your own.

Its like if you've ever managed to get into a mail server/get a mail dump of a business of some kind, the amount of personal emails people send each other (even when they think htey might be being watched a bit) is amazing - talking about affairs, who theyd fuck in the office etc.. really interesting.

Even more interesting if you can get into the mail of where you work and see what everyone else in the room is talking about. Wink2

I certainly don't approve of such a thing. It's certainly not nice to read other persons mail. If you are using a common system as you do sometimes in office, it is your responsibility to secure your login so that no one can misuse your email or for that matter any of your personal files.
