I actually thought It may have been more than 770+ million.
This Is only what they've discovered/disclosed. There's a lot more going on, hence "dark web".

Yes a ton of recycled sources, but again a lot of new ones too. "And there are also around 140 million email addresses that HIBP has never seen before." 140mil that HIBP hasn't seen is pretty crazy. A lot of people are likely affected by this and have no idea.
Just goes to show you need to take precautions before handing over your information. You don't know how the other party is going to secure nor use the information you choose to give them.

You can take every precautionary measure on your end, but the question remains "How secure Is the entity who stores your data?". I exploit daily, and I can guarantee that your Information Is not safe.
