Now before I go into details I think it is great that this has happened.
The FH founder was described as "the largest facilitator of child porn on the planet."
Most of the childporn tor sites have been compromised. The FBI had but an exploit in the Tor Network which was a Javascript zero-day exploit which would create a unique cookie and I guess that's how they caught the owner and some of the paedofiles.

Anyone using that host lost their shit too. Not everyone hosted child porn, but I guess it's for the better? That stuff is sick.

So your argument is that making pedos find different hosting justifies taking down hundreds of gigabytes of other data?

I mean, you can't put all your trust in your host. Hopefully, people keep backups of their information, and it'll all be good eventually. But I would say the whole incident has scared some pedos away from the scene, at least for now. Which could make the whole place somewhat cleaner for the innocent users. Only temporarily I assume.

I have noticed that some sites are down. Not child porn sites but obviously other ones that were hosted there as well. Im sure the sites will be back up again though as any smart admin keeps backups of everything. Tor should switch to chromium for the time being.

Which wouldn't help, seeing as he's in custody and therefore can't restore anything.
How would using Chromium instead of FireFox solve this?

They were, the point is that even if FH never comes back online, there are other ways to host it that will be used.
