Learn hacking path? - cupopigi - 11-24-2018

Hi guys,

as a newbie in this filed,
can you Kindly advise me for a path that helps me learn faster and efficient?

recently I started to learn things on Cybrary website,
but too much courses so I lost.

Im probably starting from networking (tcp/ip stuff for starter),
so if you already mastered or skilled,
please let me know the good learning path.

thanks a lot and looking forward to any advice.

Based on the above, here's the very basics of TCP/IP

You're welcome.

Once you're educated with TCP/IP, you can move onto other network/Internet protocols such as UDP, FTP, SSL, SSH, HTTP/HTTPS and ICMP & ARP (both co-exist with IP). I've just named a few. I'd say start with HTTP & HTTPS and move onto others thereafter (no particular order). The objective Is to familiarize yourself with the communication and transfer of data over a network/devices.

This isn't much of a help kinda thing, but where it all started from was someone telling me about TAILS. I went on to learn about live boot. Then just kinda went from there. The first "hack" I ever did was some SQLi. xD

I believe this was the case with myself too (can't remember 25 years back).

Union-Based, Content-Based (Boolean) and of course Error-Based are very effective when applied and executed accordingly. Making the database wait for a response via Time-Based SQLi, can help determine whether the payload used Is true/false. It can be a time-consuming process, particularly on huge databases.

Late reply but i would say it kinda depends on the path you want is it network security or web application security, but generally
Learn Network basics and protocols
some server administration linux/windows
Learn a scripting language, preferably python
