Why do we name things the way we name them? - Feat - 07-28-2013 One example I was thinking about was: Internet Like, we get most of our words from Latin words mixed but WHY do we use like 40 different languages just to make ours? What message does it convey when you put a certain emphasis on it? This is how most emotionally based words came about. As far as technical words, most of them are multiple words that have been mutated and warped together. that is where prefixes and suffixes and compound words come in to play. |
