It's alarming the sensitivity of personal Information people simply hand over.
Even for legit purposes, the nature of the Information must not be disclosed. Personally, I refuse (and always have) to apply for a job by way of sending my resume. There's no chance I'll give a stranger my Identity, or solely my family name for that matter.
