I currently use Windows 7, and prefer it. I haven't actually had Windows 8 or 10 personally but I just don't like it since I've always been used to Vista, and 7.

Until I migrated to both Windows 8 & Windows 10, I was using Windows 7 for quite a while.

Windows 8 Is okay (nothing special), and I did expect better from Windows 10. Considering this, I agree that Windows 7 Is a great choice.

Linux Mint for Desktop, Ubuntu for server (headless)

On my desktop, I prefer Windows. It's the only Windows machine in my house really, and due to work and compatibility, I need it that way.
My laptop runs Fedora 23 with a MATE WM. It's snappy, and I like it.
My servers almost all run Ubuntu Server 14.04 or 15.10. I'm not a fan of Ubuntu's bloat, but the server version is very slim and quite good.

Windows 7 is my favorite. However, I do like Windows 10, but it's not my main choice.

This Is one of the main reasons why users stay away from Windows 10.

There Is a freeware tool named "Destroy Windows 10 Spying".

Oh, it kills bloatware too. How nifty.

I've never tried It, but judging by the reviews on other reputable sites, It seems to serve It's purpose well.

I've tried it on my desktop as well, I obviously can't tell the difference but presumably Microsoft does not know what colour underpants I wear every night anymore.
