I hope you're joking...
If you're not, please list what you like about it.

Windows 8 for sure. I don't see why win 7 users won't update.

As I said before, I would like to here some reasoning behind why someone could like windows 8.

With Win7, my pc took about 3mins to be ready. With Win8 it takes 5secs.
The 2 screen thingy is very nice, my desktop is clean of useless shit, it's on the second screen now. (I know you can do some folders, but i like it as it is).
At first, i didn't like it very much, but after a while, i got used to it, and now it's hard not to have it.
Well, everyone has his own opinion. There are haters and lovers. Smile

I know I'm late to the party but...

I run Debian Testing as my distro. Quite easy to use and it comes with aptitude (which is easily my favorite package manager at the moment). Also all of the preloaded software has been useful so far, with little to no extra bloat. The only hitch I've ran into is with flash player and adding the nonfree Debian repo to the sources list. Working with Debian Wheezy before I upgraded was also rather annoying as many of the packages were outdated and made things difficult without workarounds with newer software.

Maybe its because I've installed my OS to a SD but with Win 7 it loads pretty much instantly. If anything windows 8 has a bunch of bloatware I don't need that slows me down.

That, my friend, is what a clean install is for. Pretty much standard if you buy something that has Windows preinstalled on it. Although I haven't touched Win8 so I can't really say much about it.

Less resource intensive than 7, and the metro ui is really optional.

This being said, I run arch on my laptop and Windows 8 on my Desktop.

I like Windows 7, and Windows 8 ( Windows 8 why? I like the design of it, although the bad bugs, etc. the design though, it's cartoon-ish )
