Sometimes I can go along with legalizing pot. Add to the economy, free will of people, less drug-related crimes, etc.
But then some idiot comes along with the "weed makes you smarter" and "it's good for your health" stuff. C'mon now.

Tobacco or weed both will kill you. Yes, weed does cause cancer, it has been reported before, google is your friend. Also, I dislike when people say stupid things like "weed is harmless and better than cigarettes", that's utter bullshit, I've known people who smoke 2 packs a day and don't do stupid things like people who smoke a marihuana cig. In the big scheme of things marihuana is much more dangerous than tobacco, there's a reason why it's still illegal.

Nothing against the hippy lettuce but it does slow me down.
Socially speaking its the least dangerous substance out there so thats nice.

That's actually wrong, there tons of things safer than marijuana.
I assume though, with the use of the word "substance" you mean drug.There drugs that appear to be safer than weed, such as caffeine and LSD.

By "substance" i was referring to a comparison between "traditional" drugs..tobacco,alcohol,coke,acid,ex,etc
Although caffeine is a drug i personally would not put them in the same group.
LSD is definitely not safe unless you know what you are doing. ie who manufactured it ..correct dose etc.
100 joints will make you sleepy as hell and maybe cause you to raid your fridge or the local drive through.
100 hits of acid may make you batshit insane and cause you to permanent unreperable harm psychologically.
Im all for psychonautic exploration but you certainly have to take much much more precaution with psychedelics.

LSD is less harmful than marijuana if you know what you're doing.

But if you are 13 years, that is too young to do things like that.
