A dummy's question - is this method can be used only in lan network? Can I attack a remote ip address (have known exactly) with this tut? Biggrin

no you can't use for remote ip, not for my knowledge. :Innocent:

Very nice, I definitely learned a lot from this tutorial. I'm not too fond of the formatting, but I'll gladly accept function over design! I'm actually going to try it out with my roommate as a demonstration for our site. Smile

I do have a theory, though, maybe you can answer this question for me; Will it work on a VPN?

Since a VPN essentially throws you on a "local" network, can we use this tactic against a victim on the same virtual network as us. For example's sake, let's say the connection is being established through Cisco AnyConnect. Would the attack be as cut & dry as targeting someone in-house, or do you think Cisco has added security against vulnerabilities such as this?

I feel like this is something I'll want to try right away, but if anyone has any insight they can shed, that'd be great! Smile
