Is it actually common for your real IP to be leaked through the browser? I read about all that and then tested it on a lesser known VPN and everything was still secure. Not sure how serious of a problem it actually is.

I didn't mean if it was a serious problem hypothetically. But technically in terms of if it's a real threat to many users. But you don't need to answer. I'll do some personal research and understand the details.

Given you have mediocre specs, have you tried Opera? I personally find It to be the most responsive (and light on system resources) of all browsers I've used.

Firefox is the best.
Especially on older computers with dozens of tabs.
That didn't work to well with IE.

I don't necessarily have a favorite browser. I use Firefox and Chrome interchangeably. They are both functional browsers with their own quirks and faults. That being said, choosing a favorite is a silly preferential notion because preferences change/develop over time.

I use Cyberfox, which is more like the dev build with some extra nice little things. I think you'd like it.
