Just as a matter of Interest, what don't you like about Windows 11?

The UI is amazing, but the requirements do not support my i7-7700 system, so i'll stick with Linux with a Windows 10 VM

Is It the CPU that's not supported?

If so, I've Installed Windows 11 on the same processor without Issues.

I believe they will still let you, you just won't get feature updates is what I'm hearing. I checked the supported CPU's awhile back, and it seems the i7-7700 isn't supported

Understood, It makes perfect sense.

Thanks for clarifying It.

Well, this thread has been helpful.

I was worrying about upgrading because my laptop keeps reminding me every single day when I choose it not too. I am definitely not big for change, unless it will actually be beneficial. Seeing the good and the bad, it seems most people have made it suited for their needs, in which case I might have to check it out.

Just grabbed myself a new Nitro 5 so I think it shouldn't be an issue taking the blunt of the power to run it.

Same here, my Nitro arrived 2 weeks ago and I upgraded to Windows 11 without Issues. The entire process took around 25 minutes to complete.

My specs are:
  • 11800H CPU
  • 512 GB NVMe SSD
  • 32 GB of Ram
  • RTX 3060 GPU

What's yours running?

It's unlikely you'll notice a difference. I've seen people overstate performance issues, but personally had none.

These are the specs I have currently:
  • RTX 3050Ti
  • i5-10300H
  • 512GB NVMe SSD
  • 16GB DDR4

I wanted to get something nicer in my arsenal and give that one to the girl for her gaming.

I was more concerned about the reliability side but it seems most people haven't had many/any issues thus far.
