Lot of reasons staying up at night. One of the foremost I can think off is my mind is more active and sharp until around 4 a.m. I remember staying awake late for my studies against my parents wishes. So it kind of started early. Probably the darkness and silence has a strange positive effect on my mind. I am also aware of the after effects of sleep deprivation, unfortunately.

Try not to sleep during the daytime and keep yourself busy. Stay away from electronic gadgets half an hour before sleep. Make sure that you don''t have bright colors in your bedroom. The ambiene also plays a role in our sleep timing.

I watch some webseries and finish it off in the night itself. Not daily, but it happens every now and then.

Social media, movies and online games keeps me awake until 3. On weekends, this might stretch to 4 or 5. Until now sleep deprivation have not affected me as I grab some sleep during daytime, thanks to the lockdown.

No doubt, Something was going wrong.
Spoiler:
No, you 😠

Can you elaborate? that interests me
it could has something related with migraine.

Update: Last two months, I had really to study hard, writing ressearch and working online. Thus, my sleep ratio decresed to only 2-4 hours of sleep per day for almost a month interruptly. Even tho, Few times I was almost awake for 30 hours and once 40 hours. On a side I was really trying not to sleep and challenging myself if I could decrease my sleep hours and give that time to more priority stuff.

Result: I achived 2hrs/day of sleep but it really affected my health. I was feeling good but my face color look like a very tired person which even I wasn't and it shows few lines that I didn't like otherwise were good.

Now: Sleeping 4-6 hours day but am sure I need 8 hours minimum to get back my glowing and cute face xD

You may be fine with 2 hours sleep for a short-term period, but eventually It will catch up with you to the point of complete exhaustion.

If I get 5 hours sleep (which rarely happens), I feel fantastic.
