It's a shame there's no special allowance to travel solely for employment purposes. On arrival, they can remain In quarantine for ex-amount of days/weeks, and commence their new job thereafter.

I cannot see travel restrictions lifted anytime soon.

Yeah, I think in the case of immigration, where heavy costs and lifestyles changes are involved, perhaps some more thought should be given. However, I can't blame them. I myself have had to cancel my flights in May. But I understand the reason for it, and if it saves even one person, it's worth it.

Well said.

I certainly agree with the restrictions In place. They're having a significant Impact In slowing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. My post Is more so based on a measure that (I believe), will have a similar effect to the current quarantine/self-Isolation policies.

I think it is a good plan. A similar plan was being implemented earlier in the pandemic, for anyone coming from affected countries. However, I suppose there's a logistical challenge for the airline and airport staff in processing incoming people, while maintaining social distancing measure. I wonder if airports are doing things differently for those few flights that are going through.

You have a very good point here.

It will defeat the entire purpose If they cannot control and maintain social distancing.

Yeah. I haven't actually heard anything about airliners/airports are managing this. I imagine security checks must be awful.

This is nuts. I cannot fathom this kind of behaviour.

Unless It was (under controlled conditions) a life-threatening situation or serious medical need, there's no excuse for her actions.

People like this, should be punished accordingly.
