As as I feel an anime is boring I would change it,. And mostly won't remember it's title.
Anime is a huge platform and it caters to many. Some boring anime for us may be exciting for someone else.
My opinion is watch what we like and leave the rest

I'm gonna get loads of shit for this one, but Serial Experiments Lain is, bar none, the worst anime I've ever watched in my entire life, and I'm the guy who stomached Forest Fairy Five.

I love sci-fi/cyberpunk, but I would never recommend Serial Experiment Lain. Slow pace and not entertaining in the typical sense of the word. Has great philosophical elements to it, but feels like eating beef jerky when you'd rather have a steak.

This except I'm not a huge cyberpunk guy. The ending of Lain felt very lacking.
Maybe I just don't get it, and I'll continue to resign myself to autistically fawning over mecha anime for another 5 years.

it needs to be lots of violence, deception, manipulation death.
I have a natural contempt for Naruto and dragon ball. the characters in Naruto are dorks.
