Oh, and thank you.

I am currently going through and unsticking old and crappy stickies (how'd they get there???) and putting some new ones. You just happened to bring em up as I was going along.

Great tutorial!! Truecrypt is no longer viable and will not be producing updates. I've switched to AxCrypt instead and USB Safeguard for USB encryption.

Also,a method for gaining someones IP adress would be to use the website http://whatstheirip.com/

It provides an innocent looking link to send to the target. Once pressed it will send you this info:

IP Address = xx.xx.xxx.xxx
Country Code: US
State/Province: xx
City: xxxx
Latitude: xx.xxxx
Longitude: -xxx.xxxx
Metro Code: xxx
Area Code: xxx

I'm sure you know this, but it might help others. Feel free to PM with any questions.

Great guide, thank you! I might make a .pdf of it, so I can keep it in my eLibrary. Would anyone else like a copy if I made one? It definitely is a tutorial worthy of such.

Again, thank you.

Actually, if you do that I'd greatly appreciate it if you would kindly share the file with the community! I'll even add a download file in the first post if that's okay with you (credits will be given of course).

Something tells me that guy isn't going to be making that PDF... Lol. I'd do it, but I'm honestly too lazy. Maybe I'll write another Anti-Dox guide that goes on to discuss even more topics than what was mentioned here, something longer, something that will be all in one big PDF... Biggrin

Aside from that, I'm very happy to hear that I could help wake you up enough to realize that someone can actually track you down very easily if you even leave even one bad foot print behind you anywhere on the web. This is why I wrote this guide; I wrote this guide to help people like you hide themselves, and I take pride in my work knowing that I was able to help.

I do have one favour to ask of you though: teach one of your friends about how open their information is, and why they should watch what they post. I don't care if it's by giving them a link to a guide like mine, or if it's by preaching to them 1-on-1. Honestly, I hope to someday get to go to schools all over to teach about online privacy & security rather than the typical "Watch out for online predators kids!!!! That's the only real threat!!!!". People need real lessons about real things that can happen online.

RE: Maxx's Anti-Dox Handbook - Riverclawz - 07-28-2014

I'm not sure, perhaps he did already but kept it for himself, it's been over a week and creating a pdf doesn't take 20 minutes to make xD
And you're right about this lack of education on real privacy, not pervs , every IT-teacher in my school tries to be as 'anonymous' as he can, every time one of them sees a camera he demands photos with him in it will NOT be put on fb or similar trash. Well maybe if the social media keep being the cunts they are and people keep losing more and more privacy there will eventually be classes (in ITish-courses) that will be about privacy and securing what they put online. But i don't see people studying for teacher, carpenter, cook get these classes sadly :/

So either social media has got to try and steal more and more of our privacy enough to make us seriously annoyed so we're motivated to do something about it, or people have to spread similar threads and actually make a 'thing' out of it in our social lives.

RE: Maxx's Anti-Dox Handbook - Legolas - 07-31-2014

I have not posted yet, because i had not time to read it. I was busy with several issues.

@"Maxx",
you know what?
This is one of the most hq threads, i've seen in 2014. It is well explained and pretty detailed. More than helpful ! :Thumbs-Up:

I always say that i hate all "Social Networks " . Actually, i disdain and shun them. They have not something to "offer" to my Brain and IQ.

P.S. It would be a good idea if we see this handbook in a .pdf paper. It's not a difficult process. Of Course, this is not necessary to do it. You have already done too much. :Thumbs-Up:

Thank you ,
Legolas.

RE: Maxx's Anti-Dox Handbook - Spirit - 07-31-2014

@Legolas

First of all, thank you.

Second of all, I tried and it turned out horribly. If you want to try converting it, I'd be A-OK with it though!
