I'll try it next time time, one thing to be noticed, is that you better run an antivirus BEFORE ComboFix. One time, I had a PC with 30.000 trojans, and ComboFix was just "frozen".
The procedure I use and that I recommend is:
Standard antivirus -> HijackThis -> ComboFix

Combofix doesnt freeze, it runs from the command line so it can take a long time...especially if you have 30k viruses.. But HJT doesnt do shit, its mainly for log analysis isnt it?
Combofix can't get rid of malware such as The Virut or any other cousin of virut. Use micrsoft security essentials for that.

I know, that's why I said "freezes".
Yeah, HJT I dont really do it anymore, just in desperate cases when ComboFix doesnt work (never). I believe it only checks registry entries? I don't really know :lol:
And that I didn't know, is MSE the only that can remove that virus?

MSE is the only way ive found to be able to remove VirUt or any other virus that infects other files, because it has a built in disinfector for all those.
