you can use the alfa external wifi card with antena.. it is really good i am using it .
chmod - i have a query to ask - which is the normal way to crack the wpa keys using the airmon and aircrack suite , is it using the dictionary attack ? is there any other ways ?

I had some expirience on this and I have to say, it is unbelieveable easy to guess password of your neighbour's router for free internet. Half of my life I used internet of my neighbours by guessing their passwords, you just have to know them better, what they like to do, how they call their pets etc...
Of curse, method you posted seems to work but damn you spend lot of time doing all these mentioned steps...

Depends on the hardware you use, a built in card will always be detected as an ethernet device (and therefore won't work) but an external card such as USB or PCI will be detected as a wireless interface.
