Keep regular sleep hours, cut down on caffeine, try to relax before going to bed, and write away your worries.

Ive been setting a gentle alarm for an hour and a half before I go to sleep to remind me to get off my phone earlier and get ready for bed. It’s helped a lot with my anxiety when I try and sleep at night.

I do the same.

I find that If you continue doing tasks and don't shut off there and then, the body/mind Is In another phase, hence a lot more difficult to fall asleep.

It has a lot to do with Circadian Rhythm, where if you don't fall asleep when your body tells you to, it assumes there's a dangerous reason as to why and will push you to stay awake as long as possible at that point.

Interesting.

I haven't heard of Circadian Rhythm, so I'll look Into It this afternoon. Perhaps It'll help my lack of sleep.

I read books and very rarely watch videos. It has helped my insomnia to some extent. I make sure not to visit any social media sites before going to bed. It certainly has bad influence on sleep. I have heard meditation improves your overall quality of life including your sleep pattern. Not tried that yet.

A boring book that I start reading helps me fall asleep.

I use to drink milk when I was younger but now I cant. If I did that I’d wake up needing to puke

I second that statement, I used to drink hot tea with milk in it. I tried it not too long ago and almost threw up when I woke up.
