Young Hearts sensitive, since those performance pieces of shit make me completely numb. RE: What's your protection set up? - Flashwave - 09-06-2014 Nothing, well I do have MBAM Pro but that broke itself a few months ago for some unexplained reason so it won't run anymore and I'm too lazy to go and fix it. Hooray for being naked! In Firefox I have Adblock Plus and NoScript going on. Malwarebytes is a malicious software program. I have only seen it cause problems in a computer with Trend Total Protection and Mcafee products. I understand that sometimes there can be problems but I rarely see them with other products. I do create exceptions in their scanning so they do not look at the active parts of the other program. In Kaspersky you trust Malwarebytes. In Malwarebytes you exclude the Kaspersky installation folder RE: What's your protection set up? - Flashwave - 09-06-2014 (09-06-2014, 11:50 AM)Eclipse Wrote: You run two antivirus programs? Apart from trying to kill each other, they also sap a lot of resources and fight over viruses. For example, if they both detect malware and one quarantines it, the the other will annoy you endlessly. I also agree that they use a lot of resources. I don't think I have ever seen them fight over what was found but I guess that would be possible if the antivirus expanded what it considered a threat. While my surfing practices don't expose me to much Malwarebytes is most often what I see blocking on my system. I run Kaspersky antivirus because I won't run without an antivirus. A well written virus or rootkit will be invisible and only do what it needs to do quietly in the background so that you don't go looking for it. I use an all in one kit so it doesn't conflict, like Norton or MSE; it has everything in one so you don't need multiple programs and your PC doesn't slow down. |
