Due to a new government legislation passing through parliament last week, I'm enjoying being paid by my employer for being self-Isolated. In short, I'm getting paid for navigating on this board, and performing my computing tasks to my heart's content.
I'm enjoying the same advantages! 80% of my usual wage to sit at home all day doing whatever I want. I still log onto work stuff virtually, just to help out the key staff that are still working (we went from 160 people working to just 11).
Glad to hear you're getting some money in as well. That must take some of the stress away. Enjoy your computing tasks!

I remember at one point, my job wasn't looking good. It almost came to the point of being sacked. Thankfully, the government offered the package to pay eligible employees and like yourself, It's around 75-80% of my Income.

I was due to be paid all of my March wage, then only 1 weeks salary, plus next years 3 weeks of annual leave. Except on a fixed term contract, I only had 1.5 days of annual leave for next year. so I would have only been paid 1 week, and 1.5 days worth of my wage. Now I am getting 80% wages until the end of May. I couldn't be more grateful.

Having an Income during these difficult times, Is crucial. We simply don't know what lies ahead, and how long It will take for things to get back to normal.
It's great to read that you're covered financially until the end of May. Mine Is until the end of September, which Is a full 5 months and a bit. As with yourself, I couldn't be more grateful. At one point I was fearful of losing my job, and now I can take a breath of fresh air knowing that my expenses are well and truly taken care of.

In my country, "a lot" of companies have closed- some of which have gone Into voluntary administration. I thought my work was heading In that direction, but apparently It's starting to pickup Its finances, slowly but surely.

I've read a few stories of people landing jobs internationally, who are due to start their new jobs in the next couple weeks, but aren't actually able to physically emigrate to their new countries due to travel restrictions.
