If you're just on the VPN because you're worried about downloading the file, then start the VPN. Download it. Remove from uTorrent (or whatever you use) so you're not seeding it, wait 54 seconds, then hop off the VPN.

56 im on because my internet provider wont allow me to torrent. they will send me messages saying that they detected a peer 2 peer sharing program.

They only tell you if you're torrenting 57 counts of illegal software. Torrenting itself is not legal and they don't tell you anything unless you're breaking the law. If they wanted to disregard everybody against Peer to peer, they'd block the connection. Not just allow it but then give you a warning saying hey wtf.
But peer to peer in general is fine,some games use it for updates etc.
