That wouldn't surprise me.

It's one of many reasons I don't allow any entity Installing anything on my PC. What the OS Is packaged with, Is a different story- It's Inevitable to some extend.

I've disabled every form of updates. I keep receiving error messages that they cannot be performed, which Is an Indicator of my preventative measure's success.

That's a pretty good idea, because for Windows, every update seems to just be making the operating system more worse than it already is.

When I did perform updates a couple of times over a decade ago, on both occasions they corrupted my system. That was enough to cease all operations.

It's beneficial that I'm currently receiving error messages, they're a form of reassurance/peace of mind of the update's failure to Install.

One of the very rare moments when receiving an error message is actually a good thing.

One of the very rare moments when receiving an error message is actually a good thing.  

I also rely on error messages when compromising sites (when you look at It, they're actually "hints"), but that's a different story altogether.

In this Instance with updates, they're very useful Indeed.
