It's just you won't hear of their "gender" often, because let's face it, most guys interested in this field, lack the maturity to not go "OMG A GIRL MUST E-RAEP".
With the kidding part aside, from what I've seen of the internet, it's quiet understandable as to why they wish to not display their gender.

Well, I have not and I would like to know your opinion why girls aren't much interested in these stuffs..

To be honest mate, I don't know any female hackers.
My sister handles our home PC, knows a lot about security and stuff, but she likes doing graphic design. She's only 17, who knows, maybe one day she'll be a member on a hacking forum.

Well my mother knew more about computers then anyone in my family, she learned me to hook up with the internet :p. Now I am the IT guy in the family. But my grandmother (she is 68) bought herself a laptop and started to folliw computer lessons. Now she does GFX and she does it quite well!

This is a old 4chan thread. I believe much of it. I only see other girls on girls-forums (places to spread, emo forums and so on). I haven't seen a single one, on "our kind of forums", who have given a valid proof of being a girl. I sometimes find it hilarious, when they say tits or GTFO. :epic:
