For daily use i prefer Win7 , for my hacking Backtrack5R3 but i have also used BT5 as main OS about 8 months i think and it was stable after i figured out how to set everything up properly

using bt for a daily OS is dangerous, for one yo are logging in as root if your computer get's compromised the attacker will have full access to your system, and being a pen testing distribution and set up as such there are vulnerabilities there, if you liked the distro, try Ubuntu or debian for a much safer option

I was using Windows as main OS for a very long time then as beginner i tried Ubuntu and found it cool...now i am using ubuntu as the main OS for daily use.
It's good for both beginners and experts. Though sometimes Ubuntu 12 LTS version become headache if it comes to installing aircrack , metasploit and other hacking tools they require a lot of work to do.
But still i must say Ubuntu is the best suited for me

I would have used Fedora too, It runs flawlessly on my dads laptop but on the other hand I was having compatibility issues with my PC so had to use Ubuntu

Every app crashed when I opened it, Installed audio drivers but on restart it gets uninstalled. Searched the net and only answer I got was that it's due to incompatibility, problems like that.

I've got arch and kali in dual boot on my laptop and ubuntu on PC.
