If I can cut through the crap and just get to the food at the end it's great. Mostly though I look to avoid them.

I like weddings, but not paying for them. I swear every time I go to these large elaborate weddings, I look around and think to myself "Wow, what a grand waste of money". I guess I'll go as long as I'm not footing the bill, better hope you don't get divorced after dropping $100K+ for a Wedding.
